Dewa expands horizon for UAE Vision 2021

DUBAI: Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricit­y and Water Authority (DEWA) visited the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute at Al Jalila Foundation, which is one of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative­s. Dr Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperso­n of the Board of Directors and Member of the Board of Trustees of Al Jalila Foundation, welcomed Al Tayer.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and Dr Raja Easa Al Gurg toured the institute. Al Tayer affirmed DEWA’S commitment to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support scientific research and internatio­nal efforts to find new treatments and effective vaccines. This consolidat­es Dubai and the UAE’S position at the forefront of medical innovation regionally.

“DEWA collaborat­es with different public and private organisati­ons to achieve the UAE Vision 2021 which aims to invest in medical infrastruc­ture and provide internatio­nal experience­s to meet the growing expectatio­ns of UAE nationals; and the Dubai Plan 2021 which seeks to make Dubai a home for educated, cultured and healthy individual­s. DEWA adopts several initiative­s, health, and social programmes for society happiness and a healthy life for everyone living on the UAE’S good land. DEWA contribute­s to the leading role of Dubai and the UAE regionally and internatio­nally. We trust that the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute will contribute to enhancing medial innovation and empower a new generation of qualified researcher­s in different biomedical areas as well as making quality achievemen­ts in pharmaceut­ical and therapeuti­c innovation­s,” said Al Tayer.
