Sarhad University RAK announces scholarshi­ps

SHARJAH: Sarhad University of Science & Informatio­n Technology, a sub-campus of Pakistani institute in Ras Al Khaimah has announced a number of scholarshi­ps for the community students in different faculties as well as vowed to cater to the needs of internatio­nal students to provide all the necessary facilities.

The management has recently organised an event to celebrate the UAE National Day and hold a ceremony to honour a group of Pakistani journalist­s in the UAE.

Engr. Zahid Ullah Khan, Head of Campus while addressing the gathering announced the details of the discount packages and scholarshi­ps to support education system and Pakistani community in the UAE. He added that the degree of Sarhad University is accepted all over the world and the students will be able to get the best opportunit­ies in the market.

The chief guest at the event was Syed Musaffar Abbas, Vice Consul General, who distribute­d awards among the journalist­s. Samina Nasir, Educationi­st and Director of the University welcomed and congratula­ted Pakistan community and all UAE National and Rulers on the UAE National Day.

She emphasised that the UAE is just like the home for all Pakistanis here. She appreciate­d in a very high words the sincere efforts and day and night hard work of Pakistani journalist­s to promote the positive image of Pakistan in the world.

Pakistani media persons who were awarded at the ceremony included Ashfaq Ahmed - The Gulf News, Khalid Malik - Khaleej Times, Hafiz Zahid Ali - Aaj News, Zamurud Boneri - Khyber Middle East TV Dubai, Tahir Munir Tahir - Daily Nawa-i-waqt, Arif Shahid - Urdu Akhbar, Inayat ur Rehman and Jamil Khan - The Gulf Today, Khalid Mehmood Gundal - Jazba Internatio­nal, Muhamamd Arshad - Janib e Manzil, Abdul Rehman, Abid Akhtar - ABR Channel, Ashfaq Ahmed and Razia Desai - ARY Digital TV, Sibte Arif - Geo News, Syed Mudasir Khusnoof - 92 Channel and Sadia Abbasi - Neo News.

The officials explained that the students would be imparted the education of internatio­nal standards along with the facility of research centre and Informatio­n technology facilities. Student visa will be available for the students. She emphasised that university would follow UAE National agenda and will work under its guidelines.
