Pak CG extends wishes on UAE National Day

DUBAI :“Today the united arab emirates is observing the 49th National Day. On this auspicious occasion I extend hearfelt felicitati­ons to the leadership and People of the united arab emirates from the pakistani leadership, Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai & Northern Emirates and the Pakistani community,” said Ahmed Amjad Ali, Pakistani Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

“Pakistan was among the first few countries to have accorded diplomatic recognitio­n to the UAE. Since the historic day of 2nd December 1971, our bilateral relations have been based on mutual trust and common faith and values.

“Today under the current visionary leadership of both countries, bilateral ties between two brotherly nations continue to grow. These mutually beneficial relations encompass multi-faceted cooperatio­n.

“These range from cultural and commercial relations to close cooperatio­n in areas of security and defence. The UAE is the second home of 1.7 million Pakistanis residing in this beautiful country. The contributi­on of these Pakistanis is immense towards the developmen­t of both countries,” he added.

“As our Emirati brothers and sisters celebrate this momentous occasion, Pakistanis join them in their celebratio­ns, and pray for enduring peace, progress and prosperity of the UAE, for the health and happiness of its leaders, and for further strengthen­ing and deepening of the special fraternal bonds between the UAE and Pakistan.

SARHAD UNIVERSITY RAK CELEBRATES UAE NATIONAL DAY: Sarhad University of Science & Informatio­n Technology, a sub-campus of Pakistani institute in Ras Al Khaimah has announced a number of scholarshi­ps for the community students in different faculties as well as vowed to cater to the needs of internatio­nal students to provide all the necessary facilities.

The management has recently organised an event the celebrate the UAE National Day and hold a ceremony to honour a group of Pakistani journalist­s in the UAE. Engr. Zahid Ullah Khan, Head of Campus while addressing the gathering announced the details of the discount packages and scholarshi­ps to support education system and Pakistani community in the UAE..
