Indian artist Nisar Ibrahim pays National Day tribute to UAE
The UAE — one of the most joyful and energetic countries in the world – is scheduled to host an incredible 49th UAE National Day celebration on Dec. 2 in Dubai Outlet Mall. Tradition and culture always plays a vital role in modulating the younger generation, who are an asset, and plays a major role in the sustainable development of a nation. Administration and organisations in the UAE value this philosophy and provide a plaform to residents to identify, develop, appreciate and enhance their talents. To celebrate the 49th National Day, Indian artist Nisar Ibrahim presents an astonishing art installation, to convey his thanks to the UAE which he considers his second home. He unveiled a portrait of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made with 6,800 screws in the form of pixel art, where each colour of dots are the pixels of screws. He took 49 hours and 49 kilogrammes of metal screws to make this installation, which is a git for UAE and its Rulers for their unconditional love for India.
Nisar Ibrahim, an architect and art director by profession since 1998, hails from Thrissur, considered the cultural capital of the world’s largest democracy — India. He is a well-known personality and has made an impression in various fields of visual arts including the direction of short movies which has graced many film festivals.

plight of human beings around the world. Being a person with an avid interest in global politics, anti-colonialism and anti-imperialism, his selection of subjects and his artworks convey a strong message to the viewer. Ibrahim’s acumen across abstract, landscape and architectural work has earned him laurels from clients and critics alike. His work ‘Father of the Nation’ — an anamorphic installation on Sheikh Zayed was appreciated well in the country. Besides directing many short films which were recognised by festivals globally, Ibrahim has participated in many art exhibitions and has contributed to the film industry in his capacity as an art director.
Last year he exhibited a larger piece of tolerance calligraphy sculpture which was liked by many art enthusiasts. Ibrahim does paintings and sculpture as a hobby but this is the first time he used his expertise to express his love for the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai. An extremely talented artist, Ibrahim’s passion for his art is amazing. He always keeps experimenting with his ideas and crat.
