87,720 doses of COVID-19 vaccine given in past 24 hours
ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced that 87,720 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to Saturday stands at 2,426,793 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 24.54 doses per 100 people.
This is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the COVID-19 virus.
UAE ANNOUNCES 3,566 NEW COVID-19 CASES: The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MOHAP, announced that it conducted 174,172 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced 3,566 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 274,376.
According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.
MOHAP also announced 7 deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 783.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention also noted that an additional 4,051 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 247,318.
