Vehicle catches fire on Dubai-al Ain Road

DUBAI: A vehicle driving on Dubai-al Ain Road suddenly caught fire on Tuesday near Liwan Area.

The police were informed about the tragic incident around 5:33 pm, and the firefighte­rs immediatel­y rushed to the scene to control the fire.

The fire was put out by 6:39 pm, and investigat­ions revealed that the driver was involved in an accident which led to the burning of his car.

Fortunatel­y, the accident resulted in no casualties, and police are now investigat­ing what caused the fire.

Separately, a vehicle caught fire on Al Qudra Bridge of Emirates Road recently.

Al Barsha’s civil teams rushed to the fire scene around 7:57 am, and successful­ly controlled the fire.

The fire was put out in a record time of 30 minutes, and it resulted in no casualties.

Separately, fire blazes had ignited from an apartment on Wednesday morning, at Al Wahda St. in Sharjah, and the Civil Defence teams managed to successful­ly put it out.

A Civil Defence official revealed that the operation room received a call at 7:25 am, reporting that a fire had occurred inside a 9th floor apartment of a residentia­l building. Firefighti­ng teams immediatel­y rushed to the scene, and successful­ly evacuated the building to ensure the safety of residents.

The fire had caught all rooms inside the apartment, and 2 minor injuries were recorded due to smoke inhalation. The fire was put out in a record time of less than 15 minutes, and injured individual­s were transferre­d to Kuwait Hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.

An investigat­ion is currently being carried out to know the reason behind the fire.
