Four hurt after crash on Sharjah road
SHARJAH: A truck was involved in an accident on Thursday aternoon, ater colliding with another vehicle on Sharjah’s Khor Fakkan road.
Sharjah police patrols were immediately dispatched to the scene, along with ambulances and Civil Defence teams.
Four people sustained minor injuries due to the crash, and received necessary medical help on the spot, then were later transferred to Khor Fakkan hospital.
The severity of the crash caused the driver to lose control of the truck which unexpectedly rolled over. Police urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations and speed limits in order to avoid the recurrence of such tragic incidents.
The situation was professionally handled by all teams, and the traffic flow was instantly regulated by Sharjah Police to keep vehicles going.
Recently, a vehicle on Dubai-al Ain suddenly caught fire near Liwan Area. Police were informed about the tragic incident around 5.33 pm, and firefighting teams immediately rushed to the scene to control the fire.
The fire was put out by 6.39 pm, and investigations revealed that the driver was involved in an accident, which led to the fire.
Fortunately, the accident resulted in no casualties, and police were investigating what caused the fire.
In January, a vehicle caught fire while moving on Al Qudra Bridge of Emirates Road.
Al Barsha’s civil teams rushed to the fire scene around 7:57 am, and successfully controlled the blaze.
The fire was put out in a record time of 30 minutes, and resulted in no casualties. The authorities were investigating the cause of the fire.
Authorities have urged members of the public to regularly inspect their cars for faulty parts and damaged wiring.
Also in January, at least 27 people were injured in a tragic bus accident, ater the minibus collided with a truck near Dubai Techno Park.
The accident was reported around 8.30am; fortunately, there were no casualties and the sustained injuries were minor.
Police patrols and ambulances rushed to the scene to provide medical and traffic aid for the injured and surrounding motorists in the accident site.
Police officials revealed that traffic surveyors were dispatched to the scene to investigate and collect evidence on the cause of the accident.
