Sewa provides new services to customers
SHARJAH: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) has started to receive customers in the Central Region Administration building in Al Bataeh, while taking all precautionary measures to provide services for the payment of consumption bills, connection fees, violations, lease contracts and no objections, for the first time in the Central Region.
Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sewa, stated that the authority is working to develop its services for subscribers by saving their time and effort and constantly striving to use all available modern technologies in the implementation of its work and facilitate procedures to achieve the satisfaction of the subscribers.
He stressed that the authority is working to develop performance in all administrative and technical aspects, provide appropriate places to receive subscribers, end their procedures as soon as possible, develop, train and qualify human cadres at the best levels in dealing with subscribers and finish their transactions as soon as possible and in an accurate order.
Khalifa Muhammad Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Administration, stressed that providing new services in the Central Region Administration building is a qualitative addition to the services provided by the Authority to the people of the region, as the building is located in the Al Bataeh area and near Al Dhaid Road to facilitate the residents of the Central Region in all its regions and obtain integrated services in one place and easy procedures where the authority works.
Earlier, Sewa has started implementing a project to replace the old water networks in 4 regions of Sharjah at a cost of more than Dhs30.1 million, which includes the areas of Al-yarmouk, Al-ghafia, Al-sabkha and Samnan, as part of the Authority’s integrated plan to replace the old, dilapidated networks in different areas of the Emirate of Sharjah and the diameter of the distribution lines between 100 and 300 mm.
Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sewa, stated that the Authority’s strategic plan includes strengthening water transmission and distribution networks in all regions of the emirate, in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He stressed that the authority is implementing these large projects in water extensions to keep pace with the development and urban expansion in all regions, indicating that the focus has been on replacing the old networks in four regions provided that projects to replace the old networks will be implemented in stages in various regions, and according to specialised studies.
