National Paints and Hala Medical Center post wins at labour tourney
SHARJAH: A total of 28 games were played across four disciplines in the fourth week of the at the on-going Sharjah Labour Sports Tournament (SLST).
Five matches were held in football, four in basketball, three in cricket, and 16 in hockey
In the football championship, the National Paints team defeated Hala Medical Center team 4-1, the Skinova team downed Fast team 1 - 0, the Sharjah Archaeology Authority prevailed over DXB Team 5-2, the Commandos routed the Eco Cargo 4 -1, and Sharjah Cooperative Society team beat ADNOC 2-1.
The strong and exciting basketball competitions resulted in the MPBL team beating ADNOC with a score of 66-58, RAC defeated Timba- NBTC UAE team 55-53, Bicol Oragon outclasssed their counterpart Fast Building Contracting 71-66, and Armado overcame Abu Shagarah 66-63.
Some exciting cricket matches were played during the four week of the ongoing fourth edition as well.
Sharjah Archeology defeated Sharjah Cooperative by seven wickets. Bating first ater winning the toss, the Sharjah Archeology team posted 60 for the loss of eight wickets. In reply, Sharjah Cooperative chased down the target without any fuss. In other matches, Adnoc Sharjah and Adnoc Dubai also registered easy victories against their respective rivals. Adnoc Sharjah beat the Sharjah University team while Adnoc Dubai downed Al Dhaid Municipality.
The hockey championship witnessed 16 strong and exciting matches. They resulted in the Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club - Black team defeating the Dubai Hockey Club team 3-0, the Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club- Blue team beating the Sharjah Tigers Field Hockey Club 2-1, United Emirates Hockey Club Color defeating United Emirates Hockey Club - White 3-2, and Team UAE Falcons Field Hockey Club - Green beating UAE Falcons Field Hockey Club - Red 3-1.
Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club- Black defeated Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club- Blue 2-1, United Emirates Hockey Club Color beat Sharjah Tigers Field Hockey Club 3-1, United Emirates Hockey Club- White defeated Dubai Hockey Club team 3- 0. The UAE Falcons Field Hockey Club-green team beat Sharjah Tigers Field Hockey Club 7-0.
Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club-blue team defeated UAE Falcons Field Hockey Club-red 1-0, the Sharjah Tigers India Hockey Club-black defeated the United Emirates Hockey Club-color team 4-2, UAE Falcons Field Hockey Team ClubGreen beat United Emirates Hockey Club-white 1-0, and the Dubai Hockey Club team defeated Sharjah Tigers Hockey Club 1-0.
