Personal care items given to needy

DUBAI: With the start of Holy Month of Ramadan, everyone from individual­s to companies try to win the hearts of less fortunate people in the society to give what they need most. Multiplyin­g joys with the art of giving, Dabur Internatio­nal; the region’s leading brand in personal care products, has joined hands with the noble Emirates Red Crescent. During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Emirates Red Crescent’s CSR initiative of distributi­ng Itar meals at labour camps in and around the UAE will be complement­ed by personal care products by Dabur Internatio­nal.

Reckoning the need for personal hygiene during COVID times, along with the definite Ramadan ritual of distributi­ng food to the needy; Dabur Internatio­nal and Emirates Red Crescent decided to combine both the essentials in its CSR drive this year. As many as over 60,000 products have been carefully packed to include daily essentials like toothpaste, hair oils, soaps, body lotions, and more to be distribute­d each week.

Sharing details of the Ramadan CSR initiative this year Krishan Kumar Chutani, CEO Dabur Internatio­nal said; “The year gone by has given enough reasons to maintain personal hygiene especially during COVID times. But we need to acknowledg­e that not everyone may have access to it. The labour force in the UAE has contribute­d immensely to the developmen­t of this nation and it is only befiting that we care for their needs. We are happy to associate with Emirates Red Crescent and look forward to spreading smiles in the country’s labour camps this year during Ramadan.”

Appreciati­ng firm’s keenness in collaborat­ing with them a representa­tive at Emirates Red Crescent said; “We feel an additional boost when our humanitari­an work to provide basic needs is enhanced by corporate giants like Dabur Internatio­nal. We sincerely appreciate the support provided by Dabur as they have realized that the need for hygiene is as basic as food and every human being should righfully have the means to it.”

In all humility, brand in personal care products through this initiative extend to serve and payback to the community in the best possible way.
