Treatment with right management stressed in meet

DUBAI: Treatment with right management is key in the dealing with children as experts shared innovative ways and latest findings in the fields through a series of lectures and over 56 workshops held as part of the 3-day summit which also provided a vital plaform to local and regional healthcare profession­als.

Eslam Elbaroudy, Professor and Consultant of Paediatric­s, Cairo University, stated this on the sidelines of the 5th Internatio­nal Pediatric Summit 2021 held at Hilton Hotel in Dubai during the weekend.

The three-day conference and exhibition was held under the patronage of Sheikh Dr Shama Bint Muhammad Bin Khalid Al Nahyan in the support of initiative Healthy Children for Bright Future. The conference was inaugurate­d by Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bint Mohammed Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum while over a thousand doctors from the UAE and various countries of the region atended personally besides scores atending virtually through the conference personalis­ed mobile app.

“The annual summit is regularly held under the supervisio­n of Union of Arab Paediatric­s Societies as doctors and experts in the field of pediatrics in the whole Arab region are part of their country’s societies,” Professor Elbaroudy said.

This year’s summit was scheduled to host 56 workshops by internatio­nal and regional experts besides over a dozen lectures by academics on various topics. “These lectures were meant for healthcare profession­als like doctors, pharmacist­s, nurses and others as our focus on this year’s is more on management sides and discussed what these doctors should do in their hospitals and clinics,” he said.

He also mentioned that the Union of Arab Pediatrics Societies is an umbrella of bodies from all over the Arab world and has around 100,000 members.

About the exhibition, he said that “the industry exhibition was aimed to take care of the day-to-day affairs related to doctors, nurses and other staff in the hospitals and get the first-hand knowledge from the industry experts.”
