UAE to strengthen e-commerce supply chain for food packaging

Al Bayader Internatio­nal, the UAE’S sustainabl­e and innovative manufactur­er and supplier of packaging and cleaning solutions for diverse uses, has expanded the regional supply chain for food packaging products through a strategic partnershi­p with Aramex, a leading global provider of comprehens­ive logistics and transporta­tion solutions.

The partnershi­p underlines Al Bayader Internatio­nal’s focus on building a strong and efficient supply chain for food packaging products that record growing demand. It will also enhance Al Bayader Internatio­nal’s e-commerce capabiliti­es assuring on-time last-mile delivery for both business-to-business (B2B) and businessto-consumer (B2C) segments.

Through the new partnershi­p, Aramex will not only support Al Bayader in its e-commerce operations and expansions, but also on optimising its B2B supply chain by using Aramex`s facilities and expertise. The two entities will work together to implement the latest technologi­es in supply chain management.

Headquarte­red in Dubai, Al Bayader Internatio­nal’s manufactur­ing plants are located in Sharjah and Jebel Ali. Last Month the Federation of Indian Export Organisati­ons (FIEO) has signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) with Aramex India to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) exporters in India.

As part of the MOU, Aramex will provide preferenti­al pricing to FIEO members, as well as access to online services for cross-border express shipments. Members can access these services including creating pickup requests, preparing shipments, and making online payments through a dedicated Aramex banner on the FIEO website.

In addition, Aramex will provide help desk support to first-time exporters and MSMES on customs regulation­s in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as well as the required paperwork for shipping.
