KALBA: The UAE Public Prosecution ordered two Emiratis convicted in various traffic cases to perform community service in the city of Kalba, based on the judgment issued against them by the Kalba Court of First Instance.

The first convict will perform a month and a half, while the second will perform two months of community service, the Court ordered.

The UAE Public Prosecution stated that the Kalba Court of First Instance convicted the defendants in separate traffic cases, and ordered them to perform community service.

Accordingly, the Public Prosecution ordered the defendants to perform a cleaning and maintenance service for public facilities, roads, squares, beaches, public parks, and reserves.

The Public Prosecution aims to make a radical change in the behavior of the convicts by correcting them psychologically and intellectually, Dr. Saeed Belhaj, Director of the Kalba Public Prosecution, said.

The enforcement of these measures constitutes a deterrent for irresponsible behaviours conducted by young men, he added.

NO CHANGE IN SPEED OF RADAR CONTROL ON SHEIKH ZAYED TUNNEL: Abu Dhabi Police has denied what is being circulated on social media about changing the speed of radar control on the Sheikh Zayed Tunnel in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to be guided by the speed signs on both sides of the road, and the electronic screens, affirming that the speed of radar control in the tunnel is 80 km/h.

Abu Dhabi Police advised members of the public to take information from official sources and avoid publishing and circulating inaccurate and unconfirmed information through social media.

Separately, the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) warned the public about an advertisement sent recently to many people offering cryptocurrency trading services.

It also urged the public to be cautious and not to be deceived by offers promising fast money.

Major General Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of Criminal Security Sector, urged the public to not share their personal information or send or receive money from untrustworthy sources claiming to be cryptocurrency trading companies or plaforms.

Many fraudsters deceive people with promises of making significant amounts of money by trading cryptocurrency, he added, stressing that people should not purchase or trade

cryptocurrencies that are virtual units not covered by concrete assets and not subject to any regulations or controls.
