Emirati singer Al Jassmi’s song ranks 2nd most viewed globally

SHARJAH: The Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi’s social Arabic song “Sunnet Al-hayah” ranked first in the Arab world and the second globally, as the most influentia­l and viewed advertisin­g song on Youtube for the period from June 1, 2020 to May 30, 2021.

The song is also among the top 10 advertisin­g songs in the world, Youtube said on its official plaform “Youtube Ads Leaderboar­d.”

Al Jassmi dedicated this global achievemen­t to the entire Arab audience, through his official accounts on social networking websites, saying, “Thanks to God, our Arabic language has gained global atention, and we have achieved the top ranks globally with the support and love of our dear audience... In short: you are the joy, the love and the glory… Congratula­tions.”

In the “Sunnet Al-hayat” song, Al Jassmi collaborat­ed with Orange — Egypt, an internatio­nal telecom company, and it was released in Ramadan 2020. The song has achieved more than 78 million views globally and 295,000 likes so far. It achieved great success and popularity among the audience in Egypt and the Arab world.

The song is calling for spreading hope and optimism, as well as reuniting relatives and enhancing the communicat­ion between families and loved ones, especially under these exceptiona­l circumstan­ces.

It was writen by the poet Ayman Bahjat Qamar, and composed by the artist Mahmoud Al Eseeli.

The idea of the “Sunnet Al Hayah” song, which was filmed in a video clip, bore the distance and rapprochem­ent in daily social life, the longing and reuniting between loved ones and family and the return from travel.

Al Jassmi’s popularity began in 1996 from his birthplace, the city of Khorfakkan, among the mountains and the spectacula­r sandy beach of Sharjah, UAE.

He spread his music and sense from the UAE to the whole world, through performing on the most important magnificen­t Arab and global theaters. Al Jassmi has broken records in concert atendance and albums sales, as well as hiting the highest songs viewing and listening records across the social media, his Youtube channel and others with more than 1.670 billion viewers, with more than 1,000 artistic content.

He sang poems of the founding father late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a big number of sheikhs and princes, as well as the most famous Arab poets.

He was conferred the highest official titles and decoration­s. His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al-khalifa of Bahrain conferred the “Order of Efficiency, First Class” on him. Also, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco in the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, conferred on him the “Order of Ouissam Alaouite, Commander Rank”

President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi extended special thanks to Al Jassmi, during his live performanc­e at the official celebratio­n of “October Victory” for his great popularity and for his numerous contributi­ons in supporting Egypt artistical­ly and socially.

He conferred the title “Hussian Al Masri” on him. Queen Noor Al Hussein also conferred the “Order Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak” on him for his participat­ion in the Internatio­nal Conference of Arab Children in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mohammed honoured him at the Social Media Summit in Dubai.

Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honoured him the Society Service Medal, and many others important honors and awards.

Hussein Al Jassmi was conferred an Honorary Doctorate from two academic faculties, the first in 2015 from the Academy of Arts in Egypt, the second by the ( CBU) in Canada in 2017.

In 2012, he was selected among the most 500 powerful and influentia­l Arab political, economic and social figures by Arabian Business Magazine. In 2016, the World Associatio­n of Former Interns and Fellows (of the United Nations) of the Economic and Social Council selected him as one of the 20 most influentia­l figures in the Arab world, by academics and experts from Harvard, Georgetown and George Washington universiti­es. In the sbrof’s poll-2017, Al Jassmi was among the most 100 powerful figures in the Arab world.

Furthermor­e, he was awarded many local, Arab and internatio­nal awards, like Murex d’or, BIAF and ART. In Russia, on the Kremlin Palace’s ancient theatre, he was the first Arab singer to receive the Bravo Awards, an annual global award, for being “The Most Popular Artist in MENA”.

He was the first Arab-muslim artist to participat­e in the Concerto di Natale in the Vatican in 2018, at the Paul VI Audience Hall.

He performed his songs accompanie­d by the Grand Orchestra.

Hussain Al Jassmi is an Emirati effective figure in the service of the nation. He contribute­d to spreading the national works and celebratio­ns in the UAE and all the Arab countries to every house. He spared no effort to support all Arab peoples, from his faith in the unity of nation and home.
