17,000 cars scale Jebel Jais during first two days of Eid

The visitors included citizens, residents and tourists coming from several countries and belonging to different nationalit­ies and age groups

The Ras Al Khaimah Public Services Department announced that as many as 17,000 cars used the Jebel Jais mountain road, which leads to the highest mountain peak in the UAE (1,934 metres above sea level), over the first and second days of the current Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director General of the RAK Public Services Department, said the number of visitors, hikers and tourists, who visited Jebel Jais and celebrated Eid Al Fitr on the first two days of the holiday, were estimated at around 60,000. These included citizens, residents and tourists coming from several countries and belonging to different nationalit­ies and age groups.

Al Hammadi pointed out that Saqr Public Park, the largest public park in the emirate, received more than 1,000 cars and 3,000 visitors, over the first and second days of the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

The emirate’s famous natural landmarks, parks, beaches and public recreation­al and tourism facilities saw a large turnout over the current Eid holiday, most notably the Al Qawasim Corniche in downtown Ras Al Khaimah, he said.

54 PARKS AND GARDENS RECEIVE THOUSANDS OF VISITORS DURING EID AL FITR IN ABU DHABI: More than 54 parks in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra region received thousands of visitors from individual­s and families during the three days of Eid Al Fitr, in an atmosphere of joy, and happiness, to enjoy the Eid Al Fitr holidays in the picturesqu­e green spaces and natural and modern facilities that characteri­se the gardens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Department of Municipali­ties and Transport opened the doors of parks and gardens to visitors during the Eid Al Fitr celebratio­n period from 8am to midnight, as the gardens received a great turnout from families and families, especially before sunset with low temperatur­es to enjoy nature and the open atmosphere.

The Municipali­ty of Abu Dhabi City was keen on the readiness of all parks and gardens in the city and its suburbs to receive the masses during the days of Eid Al Fitr and took all necessary measures to deal with the increasing demand of residents and visitors to the parks during the Eid period.

On Wednesday, during the third day of Eid Al Fitr, the parks witnessed a large turnout of families to organise barbecue parties and for children to enjoy the facilities and games designated for them, amid preventive measures of physical distance between families.

Guidance boards were set up in gardens and parks, including instructio­ns that must be adhered to by visitors, in order to preserve their health and safety during the celebratio­n of Eid Al Fitr. The Department of Parks and Recreation­al Parks, before Eid, completed all routine periodic maintenanc­e, which includes corridors, children’s toys, public bathrooms and pillars, lighting, supervisin­g the cleanlines­s of all park facilities, which fall within the administra­tion’s responsibi­lities, ensuring security and safety procedures, and providing an emergency team that works to provide all the comfort and safety requiremen­ts for park visitors.

The main beaches of Abu Dhabi Corniche, Al Bateen, Al Saadiyat, and Al Hudayriat, as usual, have atracted large numbers of visitors over the past three days to enjoy swimming in an atmosphere of joy and joy on the Eid Al Fitr holiday. The game centres in malls and malls in the capital, Abu Dhabi, witnessed a great turnout by children and their families, in an atmosphere dominated by manifestat­ions of joy and pleasure, to celebrate the happy Eid.

DUBAI BEACHES: The beaches of Dubai and Hata witnessed a great turnout of visitors on the third day of Eid Al-fitr, as families flocked to them to spend a good time, and were filled with visitors.

Dubai Municipali­ty has been keen on the readiness of the beaches by providing and maintainin­g marine lifeguard equipment, and provides more than 100 lifeguards distribute­d on all public beaches of Dubai, to maintain the safety and guidance of beachgoers, in accordance with the best internatio­nal standards and practices applied in this field.

The municipali­ty also provided main and subsidiary rescue plaforms and integrated rescue crews equipped with all equipment, and also provided 125 masts on all public beaches, to clarify the state of the sea and the possibilit­y of swimming or not using the warning flags system.
