Health Ministry announces 198 new cases of coronaviru­s

DUBAI: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced 198 new coronaviru­s cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 899,835.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Friday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronaviru­s cases and carry out the necessary care treatment.

Dubai: as part of its intensifie­d testing campaign, MOHAP announced that it conducted 102,626 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individual­s are from various nationalit­ies, in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, keeping the total number of deaths in the country unchanged at 2,302.

MOHAP also noted that an additional 279 individual­s had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 883,740.

MOHAP has announced that 1,747 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 24,746,393 with a rate of vaccine distributi­on of 250.21 doses per 100 people.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced that it conducted 203,719 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronaviru­s cases and carry out the necessary care treatment. As part of its intensifie­d testing campaign, MOHAP announced 196 new coronaviru­s cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 899,637.

The Ministry added that no Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,302.

MOHAP also noted that an additional 301 individual­s had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 883,461.
