3,462 more COVID-19 vaccine doses given
ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has announced that 3,462 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to Saturday stands at 24,749,855 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 250.24 doses per 100 people.
This is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which
will help reduce the number of cases and control the COVID-19 virus.
UAE ANNOUNCES 191 NEW COVID-19 CASES: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced that it conducted 170,219 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary care treatment.
As part of its intensified testing campaign, MOHAP announced 191 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 900,026.
According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care. The Ministry added that no Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,302.
MOHAP also noted that an additional 235 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 883,975.
GLOBAL COVID-19 CASES CROSS 514 MILLION: The number of coronavirus infections around the world have reached over 514.16 million cases, while the total deaths have risen to 6,643,433.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
