Offers of cash prizes keep shoppers busy at malls

DUBAI: During the long holidays of Eid Al Fitr, the residents have thoroughly enjoyed their time in and out of their homes and especially in the malls.

Ahead of Eid, all prominent malls especially in Dubai had unveiled an array of activities to entice the residents to spend their maximum time by watching movies, eating food from around the world and most importantl­y grabbing the latest fashion ware at discount rates announced especially for ‘Eid holidays’.

From the great shopping offers and a unique dining experience to live entertainm­ent and cash prizes, Mercato mall in the Jumeirah made the ideal spot for families looking to enjoy all the diverse aspects of the wonderful Eid experience in Dubai.

The visitors who made their time during the holidays in the mall not only indulged in great shopping and discounts in some of your favourite stores but also were entitled to be part of the shop and win promotion and win the Ultimate Eidiya of Dhs10,000.

The campaign to win the Ultimate Eidiya was announced by the Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah between 29th April – 04th May and asked the shoppers to spend Dhs200 and will be entitled to enter Eid Al Fitr shop and win promotion and win the Ultimate Eidiya of Dhs10,000.

As part of the Eid celebratio­ns, the streets of Mercato came alive with a variety of energetic and captivatin­g roller-skating extreme dance and acrobatics shows by Rolldxb; kids also entertaine­d exciting activities such as free roller-skating workshop, face painting and slime workshops.

At City Centre Mirdif, a number of food outlets were part of a campaign to offer reward 25 per cent cashback in their loyalty points as the drive will end on May 15.

A new sport activity opened recently at the City Centre Deira for kids of all age groups to enjoy a mix of sport activities. The new Ball Court entice kids with activities like football, basketball and cricket courts with plenty of excitement as these courts were packed during the holidays.

However, the Dubai Mall with over 200 dining options and an internatio­nal selection of cuisines, were the top choice for shoppers and food lovers.

The mall that was also part of the Dubai Food Festival besides taking advantages of store activities entertainm­ent opportunit­ies made visitors spend their memorable time with their family and friends.

Salar Ahmed, an India expatriate and longtime resident of Dubai told the Gulf Today that “besides visiting family and friends during Eid, the other major plan was to bring whole family to Dubai’s mall and enjoy the varieties of foods and watch movies released on Eid.”
