Pak Prime Minister, more leaders condole Mohamed

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan continued to accept the condolence­s of world leaders and heads of their delegation­s over the passing of the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif offered condolence­s to President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the demise of late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Other members of the Royal family were also present at the condolence meeting.

The Prime Minister was accompanie­d by Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Minister of Defence, Rana San au ll ah, minister of interior and afzaalm ah mood, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE.

The Prime Minister conveyed the profound sympathies and condolence­s of the leadership, Government and people of Pakistan to the leadership of the UAE.

Pakistan and the UAE are bound by close fraternal relationsh­ip. Under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the relationsh­ip between Pakistan and the UAE scaled new heights. He was a sincere friend of Pakistan. His invaluable contributi­on will be long remembered

The leaders and heads of delegation­s expressed their sincere condolence­s to the Al Nahyan family and to the people of the Emirates

by the Government and the people of Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif conveyed that the Pakistani nation fully shared the grief and sorrow of their Emirati brethren and stood by them in this difficult time. He offered prayers for Sheikh Khalifa’s departed soul.

The prime minister paid tributes Sheikh Khalifa Binz aye d’ s dynamic leadership under which th eu ae transforme­d into a major economic powerhouse. He affirmed that monumental legacy of Sheikh Khalifa would continue to inspire the generation­s of Emiratis.

The prime minister also conveyed best wishes to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan upon assuming his responsibi­lities as the new President of the UAE. He expressed the confidence that the newly-elected President would take the UAE to new heights of developmen­t and progress in the years to come.

Sheikh Mohamed conveyed sincere gratitude to Shahbaz and the leadership and people of Pakistan for their solidarity during the hour of grief.

The two leaders affirmed their shared commitment­to further deep en the pakistan-u ae relationsh­ip in all dimensions.

In solidarity with the brotherly people of UAE, the Government of Pakistan announced a threeday national mourning from 13-15 May 2022, with the national flag to fly at half-mast.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also accepted condolence­s in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, from President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani of Mauritania; Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic; Kassym-jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan; Wavel Ramkalawan, President of Seychelles; and indian vice pres id entv en kai ah na i du.
