Emirates Transport congratula­tes Sheikh Mohamed

ABU DHABI: The Board of Directors of Emirates Transport congratula­ted His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of the United Arab Emirates, and congratula­ted the country’s leadership and people on this election, asking God Almighty to preserve, bless and strengthen the leadership of the country at this stage.

Far ya lt aw akul, acting ceo of emirates transport, confirmed that Sheikh Mohamed, “in his pioneering national roles throughout his career was full of achievemen­ts and success, and is indeed the best successor to the best predecesso­r, and just as the UAE moved from establishm­ent during the era of Zayed to empowermen­t during the era of Khalifa.”

“We are very confident that we are continuing the covenant with the founder and his brothers, Their Highnesses, rulers of the Emirates, are in an important new stage in the history of the state, whose objective is greater strength for our union, prosperity and progress for our people, and the strengthen­ing of the state’s global leadership positions in all fields.”

On Saturday, the Federal Supreme Council unanimousl­y elected Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed as President of the United Arab Emirates.

The Council held a meeting at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Presidenti­al Affairs said that according to Article 51 of the Constituti­on, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was unanimousl­y elected as the President of the UAE to succeed the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Their highnesses, the supreme council members and Rulers of the Emirates have reaffirmed their keenness to continue implementi­ng the authentic values and principles laid down by the late deceased, Sheikh Khalifa, following on from the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
