Ater geting permission from the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), police exhumed Rifa’s body and autopsy was conducted on May 7.

Her family had lodged a complaint with the Kozhikode Rural Superintendent of Police alleging that there was no chance for her to commit suicide and raised suspicion on her husband’s behaviour.

According to the officials, the man was reportedly upset over her social media influence and the increasing number of subscribers to her Youtube channel.

Police believe that the girl hailing from Balussery was a victim of her husband’s alleged mental torture over her social media popularity.

According to Rifa’s family, she had no reason to commit suicide. On the previous day of her death, Rifa who reached home ater work, had video called and spoke to her two-year-old son and parents in Kerala.
