UAE committed to value of tolerance: Nahyan
SHARJAH: Minister of Tolerance and Co-bxistence pheikh kahyan Bin Mubarak Al kahyan has reiterated the commitment of the rab leadership and its people to the pursuit of acceptancei forbearancei brotherliness and friendship.
Al kahyan said from the Nnth edition of the “fnternational dovernment Communication corum Efdcc)” held at the bxpo Centre pharjah: “lur ministry and the entire nation are fully committed to the values of tolerancei co-existencei and human fraternity.”
ee added: “te committedly work towards establishing balanced and strong cooperative relationships with everyone in order to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness on civilisationsi culturesi and religionsi and successfully counter extremismi racismi and hatred to achieve peace and accord worldwide.”
The government official was the first of three distinguished speakers at the tednesday edition of the “fnspiring Talks” at the fdcc.
The fdcc is an annual gathering of government peoplei thought leadersi and experts from around the world as well as the youth of pharjah since 2MN2. rnder the patronage of eis eighness ar pheikh pultan Bin Muhammad Al nasimii pupreme Council Member and ouler of pharjahi the goal is to create discussions or deliberations on the best possible communication strategies and mechanisms for effective messagingi most specifically by the public sector.

The two other first day-”fnspiring Talks” guest speakers were dlobal Commission on the bconomy and Climate honourary chairman/former Mexico president celipe de gesus Calderon and former Canadian prime minister him Campbell.
Al kahyands talk was titled “lptimal Communication ptrategies for Balanced oelations between Culturesi” wherein he mentioned the “big responsibility” of government institutions in disseminating what everyone must need to be aware ofi so that “negativities and biases” are countered in order that “peacei understanding and co-existence” prevail.
ee pointed out that as communication is a mechanism for the transfer of information required for the continuing build-up of not only knowledge and skillsi but more importantly of relationshipsi “accuracy and transparency must be over and above gossips and fake news.”
