RAK art competitio­n winners honoured

RAS AL KHAIMAH: Over a dozen students from different local schools were awarded trophies and gits ater winning an art competitio­n held recently in Ras Al Khaimah.

More than 1,000 children along with a group of students of determinat­ion of Sharjah City of Humanitari­an Services participat­ed in the Al Naeem Art Challenge completion. It was a one of its kind creative opportunit­y, where children from various schools expressed and defined “Hope, Courage and Connect” through artworks.

The winners included Ahaan Dulta, DPS, Zainab Jayees, Scholars Indian School and Mohammed Hamdan, Ideal English School were announced winners in the category 1; Zainab Kapadia, DPS, Apurva Shaji, Scholars Indian School, Faiza Sabiya, Scholars School from Category 2 and Safiya, Scholars Indian School, Shreya Tyagi, Scholars Indian School, Muhammad Allam, New Indian School, grabbed the winning titles in category 3. Ideal English school that brought in the maximum number of entries was also felicitate­d with the champions trophy during the event. In an encouragin­g move, 6 artworks selected by the jury will also be featured in the children’s magazine.

A noteworthy mention at the event was the exclusive felicitati­on ceremony held for participan­ts from SCHS. Every student received a trophy and git hampers at the hands of wellknown industry fraternity from retail, banking, healthcare and IT sectors for their competitiv­e spirit and enthusiasm.
