AXSOS in Ramallah honoured by politician’s visit

-

German- Palestinian company, AXSOS AG, was visited by BadenWürttemberg’s prime minister Winfried Kretschmann at the end of March. He was welcomed by AXSOS's CEO, Frank Müller, and the chairman of the supervisory board, Rolf Stephan, as well as by several journalists from Germany and Palestine. On his second visit to the Middle East, Prime Minister Kretschmann used this opportunity to get to know more about AXSOS' success story in person. He talked about the company as a role model for hope and progress within the Palestinian territories. Since 2011, as first of its kind, AXSOS AG has maintained a Middle East branch in Ramallah, Palestine. This shows entrepreneurial courage and creative farsightedness: investing in the counter trend has proven successful for AXSOS and its customers. "There are more than 1,500 IT graduates ( highly trained young people) every year in the Palestinian region and in Jerusalem. These are optimal conditions for AXSOS, based on the strong international alignment that is connected with the oriental hospitality and service orientation", said CEO Frank Müller. At present, more than 40 Palestinian AXSOS IT professionals are working in Ramallah. They are demonstrating individual development and provide much of the end-user support for customers in a round-the-clock service. They are high calibre IT professionals and AXSOS employees on equal footing. They also engage regularly in exchange visits and training with their German colleagues in Stuttgart or in Ramallah. They also maintain daily contact via video- or tele-conferencing. Besides its IT business, AXSOS supports an exchange between the film academy in Ramallah and Ludwigsburg, which is one of the world’s leading film academies. Due to this dedication, two students from Ramallah are studying in Ludwigsburg since September 2016 and one from Ludwigsburg is based in Ramallah since February 2017. In times of digitalisation it is important for AXSOS to connect to the different areas of expertise and to create synergies and perspectives

through exchange. In line with their vision, AXSOS also actively invests in engagement with young Palestinians and is expanding the cooperation with the YMCA in East Jerusalem. With the support of AXSOS, a youth consultant position could be established for this YMCA youth program. The past years, since the founding of AXSOS, have been marked by constant and healthy growth, currently comprising over 70+ employees from 12 nations. AXSOS AG's plans to expand further in Palestine until 2030, and wants to create new jobs as well as in Germany. During the prime minister’s visit, Müller explained with the various aspects of the AXSOS’ social and cultural engagement, which exceeds far beyond the daily business. This met with the approval of the prime minister and he pointed out that in a globalised working atmosphere an intercultural approach is important to understand, appreciate and get along with each other peacefully. He also pointed out that he is willing to encourage more companies from Germany to invest in Palestine as well as establishing Palestinian offices.
