RAK Police form Students’ Drug Prevention Council
RAS AL KHAIMAH: The Ras al-khaimah Police General Headquarters has formed the Students’ Drug Prevention Council, the irst of its kind in the UAE as part of Year of Zayed activities.
Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Hanem, Director of Police Operations at Ras al-khaimah Police General Headquarters, said in his opening address at the council that the decision to constitute the drug abuse prevention body was taken after exhaustive study and analysis in partnership with other stakeholders.
He stated that the RAK Police will coordinate with other partners to devise a strategy and mechanism that protects youth and students from the menace of drugs.
The 15-member body will carry out awareness programmes and activities throughout the school year.
