Quizzed if he would be vying for superior positions in future Letshwiti said all he wants is to make a contribution to African football that will in turn grow football in Botswana and all the other countries in the continent.

“Our aim is to have a clean record of corporate governance that entails integrity, transparency and accountability as we strive to commercialize and professionalize the sport.”

Moreover he mentioned that there is a plan to change the legal framework at CAF and reform most of the structures of the organization as they will want to step to other levels should they occupy the office.

However the figurehead of the BFA is confident that they will win the elections given their reputation and experience both in business and football.

He added that his association has been level headed and neat with financials, compliance and governance hence why he believes he is the right candidate for the post as he has a lot to offer CAF.

Letshwiti will be vying for the EXCO seat under the COSAFA region that currently has 2 seats in the board; his other challengers will be Feizal Ismael Sidat ( Mozambique), Elvis Raja Chetty ( Seychelles), Kanizat Ibrahim ( Comoros), Patricia Rajeriarison ( Madagascar) and Arthur De Almeida E. Silva ( Angola).

The two candidates have already launched a massive campaign that will lend them in the highest football office in the continent, “We have started the campaigns and a lot of work has been done,” added Letshwiti.
