Spa with nature at The Lush Escape

- PHEMELO RAMASU BG REPORTER

A newly opened spa is offering clients with a completely unique offering. The spa is none other than The Lush Escape. Like the name says, clients get to escape into a completely different type of environment. Offering massages/ treatments that are in tune with nature, new clients of this Spa will get to have exceptional opportunity to enjoy their Spa treatment right in the middle of the bush.

Located in Mokolodi, the Spa gives clients who wish to escape from the fast pace of the city, and its many distractions and noise into a very serene and quiet atmosphere. A less than 15 minutes- drive from the city on the recently constructed Boatle- Gaborone road is amazingly enjoyable. The small road from the main road turn off into Mokolodi also has its own aura. But the part that is surprisingly breath taking is the final drive into the premises of the Lush Escape.

Tucked away into a little corner, as soon as you walk through the wooden gate, there is something that happens to one’s senses. It feels like your whole body relaxes, and all your anxiety evaporates into the air.

A casual walk accompanied by the melodious songs from the many chirping birds literally takes your breath away. If you came here with a few worries, they literally melt away even before you get any treatment. The best part about this place is how some of the spa treatments such as your massages, are offered right in the middle of the bush. Giving clients a scenic view of the bush, and a chance to be one with nature, this right here is what we all need especially with everything that most of us have been going through dealing with the pressures of growing up and the unending new normal and its lingering drama.

Reasonably priced, guests can enjoy treatment that includes Neck, Back and shoulder massages, hotstone back, neck and shoulder massage, Indian head massage, Aromatheraphy full body massage, and Swedish massage. The massages that promises to win them many clients is the Outdoor massage.

Other treatments include body treatments, pedicures, manicures, waxing, facials to mention a few. Even more interesting is the fact that they are also offering Pedi Peels. Pedi Peels is sort of getting rid of dead skin cells and giving your foot a new lease on life.

According to the Spa Manager, Mopati Selao lo, the Lush Escape is situated on a 5000 square/ metres piece of property. He explains that the whole inspiration behind the Spa came about after they realised that there was a gap in the market when it comes to offering clients with something that will completely take them out of the city, and just relax and enjoy their treatments without any disturbances.

Two locations were initially in mind, but the other location was not ideal as it already had quite a few activities. It was then that they found this little piece of heaven. Their interior designer was called to come and assess the property and its potential, and instantly fell in love with it.

“With Covid- 19 restricting movements, and many people unable to travel, we also wanted to offer them with an opportunity to take a drive out of the city and experience the bush in a completely new way,” he explains. He further says that indeed they are offering clients with a lush experience, and that they go all out when it comes to giving their clients value for their money. “Here they get to be one with nature.

And they can experience moments in tune with nature,” says Selaolo.

He further says that they didn’t want to go with the normal set- up of Spa business, but wanted something unique hence their choice of nude colours that complement the beauty of the location. “We want our clients to come here and relax, and leave the place completely relaxed and ready to take on the world,” he says.

To top it all off, clients also have an opportunity to book accommodation for the weekend at one of the few rooms. To accommodate larger groups, they have formed strategic partnerships with local companies in the area such as The Venue where clients can book their accommodation and even camping at reasonable rates, or even enjoy their meals from there. Other activities that are in the pipeline include scenic bicycle rides, game drives to the neighbouring Mokolodi Nature Game Reserve, to mention a few. All treatments come with a complimentary drink and a light lunch/ refreshments.
