She focuses on personalized balloons, backdrops, intimate decors especially on a wide array of balloons including; latex and foil.

Aaron believes that life achievements such as birthdays, graduations, showers, farewell parties and weddings are worth celebrating. She is of the view that these occasions should always be celebrated in style, so that their memories live on. RAYON Online Gift Shop therefore exists to cherish these events by offering her exceptional skill of designing through beautiful printouts on modern balloons.

“I have always loved décor, and after I quit my job as a professional designer, to be with my family in Maun, I had to make use of my skills to utilize my time. I embarked on this business after I found out that there is a gap in this field, so I chose to do something intimate to celebrate families and RAYON Online Gift Shop was born,” she explains. She started operating at the beginning of last year, and actually became more active after the first lockdown. As she operates as an online gift shop, through Facebook and Whatsapp, Aaron says that it was easy for people to learn about her services. “They immediately recognized my work and made calls for their different functions. “

She offers these services for both the young and the old and to both men and women. She finds joy in making these balloon gifts, as she gives attention to the designing based on age and colour and depending on what gender she is designing for. She adds that their demand as RAYON Online Gift Shop has exceeded all expectations with both the corporate and individual clients.

She reiterates that it is their passion and commitment that attract people to their services.

“We consider ourselves to be at the forefront of creating custom exquisite and trendy balloon installations and decorations,” she says highlighting that balloon decorators have been around and the industry has however taken the peak within the last two years due to the social media and the pictureperfect moment. She acknowledges that this has helped her company to grow quickly to a point that as small as they are they already donate their services for charity purposes. They have donated welcome balloons to Trans Okavango Charity Cycle, and also made sure that the BGCSE top achiever from Masunga also celebrated his achievement with their balloons, among other donations. They also associate themselves with corporates including Burs, Banc ABC, FNB and CEDA. She says that although the buying power is low for most people as they have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, some people still see the need to celebrate their achievements. “I am always busy serving my clients, and they pick up their products from my operational place, which is my house for now,” she said. Their slogan is ‘ if you can see it, you can receive it ’. They plan on growing the business by opening a shop in the future and buying machinery for balloon factory. She adds that their future plans include delivering gifts at a door step and also assisting people with ideas to get relevant gifts for a particular occasion. She has also observed that as social media continues to gain popularity, people are always looking for the next best backdrop for the perfect picture and an outstanding event.

“This explains why the balloon industry has spiked, and there are so many new balloon companies popping up now,” she explained, noting that they strive to remain different with the type of installations they create which leads them to have multiple client installations, daily.
