The vehicle comes with a 1.5 litre turbo engine producing an impressive 105 kw at 201 nm and 9.7/ 100 km. The Jolion does not even have a gear knob, you have to turn the knob to get into gear. We expected the vehicle to cause a big upset in the market and expect young people, women and men to buy this car, it’s a perfect mother’s day gift

Featuring sleek new looks and aesthetically pleasing curves, the all new Haval Jolion, latest model range in the growing Haval local stable, was launched in Gaborone this past weekend. The Jolion, which means ‘ first love’ because of its good looks, has already won international acclaim for design, accessible pricing and frugality, is expected to be a hit with local customers, hoping to own their first new car. With a growing brand and dealer service network around the country, the Jolion is expected to build on the successful platform that has already been set by other exciting Haval products, including the P Series, Haval H1 , Haval H6 and H9. Speaking on the sidelines of the glamorous launch event in Gaborone, Haval

Gaborone Dealer principal, Dirk Putter said they are super excited about the Jolion, adding that the new model is one of the best value for money vehicles on the planet at the moment. “The vehicle comes with a 1.5 litre turbo engine producing an impressive 105 kw at 201 nm and 9.7/ 100 km.

The Jolion does not even have a gear knob, you have to turn the knob to get into gear. We expected the vehicle to cause a big upset in the market and expect young people, women and men to buy this car, it’s a perfect mother’s day gift,” Putter said.

I think we are going to have a good time with this vehicle and I am 100 percent impressed so far, it is a funky vehicle, the front is as aggressive as a Lexus and the rear gravitates towards the

Land Rover Evoque. It is a proper vehicle and it is affordably priced.

Furthermore, Putter said the Jolion is a truly international product as it is designed in Australia while the factory is located in China. In addition, Putter said the Haval brand is doing well so far as the recently launched P Series pick is disrupting the market in neighbouring South Africa as customers are trading in Ford Rangers and Toyota Hilux’s in favour of the new vehicle.

With regards to financing, Putter said Haval Gaborone is being endorsed by the big four banking institutions in Botswana, including Stanbic Bank and FNB. According to Putter, the Jolion ranges between P240 000 and P 309 000. The growing Haval dealer network can be found in Gaborone, Francistown and Maun.
