Beauty Spark Wellness Spa partners with a dermatologist

- IRENE SHONE BG CORRESPONDENT

Owner and CEO of Beauty Spark, Phatsimo Khama, looked beyond obstacles when she set up her spa. She does not believe in temporary short cuts when it comes to taking care of the skin, but permanent and healthy healing, hence she has enlisted a dermatologist in her skin services. She works hand in hand with Dr. Hirschfeld’s dermatologist clinic, to ensure that they bring in results and solve skin problems holistically.

Khama says this is what sets them apart from other spas as they target all skin types. They run blood tests first to diagnose a skin problem before they could sought a relevant solution, and then they take one through the process of healing.

“We are an innovative, user friendly cost- effective environment that brings wellness into any space, and taking our clients on a journey of skin perfection and making sure we put a smile on them is our priority,” explains Khama. They are a certified Lamelle trader, which is one of well- respected and reputable brands and also have their Neostrata ache and blemishes range. She notes that different skin types and conditions require different treatments such as; micro needling that helps with firming skin, acne scaring, texture of skin and fine line wrinkles, sucking oil from the skin and other dermatology services. Their wellness pods she says, include; nail technician, waxing, facials and pedicures. On request services, they have; botox/ fillers, permanent eyebrows, skin rejuvenation procedure, corns shave, hair regeneration and lipolysis. They also offer master classes and effective dermatologist in place, Dr. Eugene Hirschfeld is on demand with over 70 bookings over one weekend, Khama says.

They also take pride in their welltrained therapists and masseuse and Khama reiterates that Beauty Spark is leading from the front with its skilled nail technicians, qualified through Bio Sculpture as well as qualified beauty therapists who offer the best therapeutic treatments. They try by all means to remain at the top of the game and at least be seen as a spa of world class through their services.

Khama is of the view that once in a while, a human being should visit a spa just to get rejuvenation of their body if they cannot make it their lifestyle. “Massages help one to breathe more consciously, slowly and deeply while enhancing physical and mental health, while facials help with removing dead cells from the skin,” she explains.

She adds that combination of this therapy treatments restores physical and mental balance to one’s wellbeing. They consider themselves as a spa of solutions that take clients on a journey of results, be it body aches or skin problems and beauty. She also emphasizes that sessions are very important especially on the skin care, hence they prioritize booking for their patients and taking them through the whole healing process, while they also recommend good diet, as well as drinking lots of water.

Beauty Spark Wellness Spa will be opening their second branch in Gaborone soon, to expand their services to clients, as they are in demand. They appreciate growth and also plan to open in other places such as Maun to ensure that their services reach across all parts of the country. They are also currently in talks with Cresta Hotel to partner with them, and next year, they will be adding new products, including the Vitamin E drip. Khama also notes that they are very particular about the kind of products to use because a good skin also depends on good products.
