On the question of how they were planning to capacitate local producers, he said that a team has already departed, and that the team was looking at what they can do. He also said that they had put producers on standby. “On our part, we are also ready to support them,” he said. He also revealed that December will be a month of Crafts in Dubai, where MYSC will be showcasing. Lemmenyane said that they were taking around 82 artists who will perform throughout the month.

“The idea is for them to get exposure, and for other countries to see their talent so that they can engage them and buy their music,” he said. On the question of artists who will perform, he said that they had chosen artists from across board. Interesting about UAE is the fact that it is a Muslim country, and that it is particular about certain things which include women and traditional dances and attires, he said. Essentially, this means that they had to nit- pick artists/ groups that might not offend the religion of the country. “We have tried to take those traditional groups such as Hosana, and Diware from Ngamiland and Chobe who wear certain dresses. Those are some of the limitations that we had. Borankana as you know, will not be part of that,” he said. For artists, he also said that there was a criteria that they had to satisfy. This includes factors such as whether an artists has a social media presence, twitter handles which will make it easy for people to find them online. We were looking at established artists, upcoming and legends,” he said. “It is quite a huge thing, and our artists have a disadvantage as some of them are not online,” he added.
