Legal Guard to shore up insurance uptake
Legal Guard has announced intentions to shore up the country’s low uptake of legal insurance, hovering at five percent penetration rate.
“Growth is our life plan, we have to continuously be on a growth trajectory at a rate that will allow the majority of Batswana to access affordable legal services,” said Legal Advisory Manager at Legal Guard, Obakeng Chabata. Chabata foresees legal insurance penetration figures on the local market to rise to between 80 and 90 percent over years.
“In insurance, the local market has low penetration rate, Batswana generally do not take up insurance,” said Chabata, adding that the company is active on public education, sensitizing people.
With premiums starting from a minimum of P100.00 to maximum of P400.00, Legal Guard believes legal insurance is affordable in the country.
Chabata is also confident that the advent of digitization is a ‘ big driver’ for Legal Guard growth, going into the future. “Looking at demographics, tech savvy people are taking center stage in the market, so there is obvious need to speak in the language they are able to understand, for us to remain leaders in the market,” Chabata.
He said the company has embraced digitization and is currently on a journey to make digitization central to its operations. “We have introduced applications that enable customers to purchase our offerings remotely,” Chabata said.
Legal Guard is upbeat that there is immense benefits of data and data analysis that the company accesses by using digital platform. “We will remain in this space, to ensure that we remain relevant in the industry,” said Chabata.
Some of the initiatives on Legal Guard’s sleeve include intentions to rollout a WhatsApp Chatbot to connect with customers, highlight products, and respond faster to customer inquisitions.
Legal Guard believes that interactivity and accessibility play a fundamental role in determining customer satisfaction in e- commerce.
