Another Just Sex
ESTeRES Boutique agency recently hosted a media activation session for the upcoming Just Sex, a Sexual Health and Wellness event. The activation was dubbed Just Sex and Wild The Place. Wild The Place, is a quaint and scenic venue who have come on board as a partner for activations and different smaller awareness sessions in the up- coming year. The 3rd edition of the Just Sex event will once again be held at Cresta Lodge this Friday.
According to the event organiser, Michelle Phetlhe, the decision to host media and a few guests was taken after internal conversations which concluded that there is a need to be intentional with rolling out the Sexual Health and Wellness conversation starting this month. The month of November is Men’s Health Awareness month. She explains that one of the speakers at the event happens to be Dr Vincent Molelekwa, who will touch on the topic of Infertility.
The recent event was structured similar to how the Friday event would be, with light conversation, more difficult talks as well as an opportunity to engage with panellists through questions.
Lorato T. Mosetlhi- Molelowatladi, a Physiotherapist with a special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction was one of the speakers at this session. “We believed that she was a perfect candidate as she has attended a few of the Just Sex events, her line of work falls under Sexual Health and Wellness and is also a member of My Sexual Health.” MySexualHealth ( MSH) provides a platform service to some of the most qualified Sexual Health professionals in South Africa and abroad, of which the Clinical Head, Medical Doctor and Sexologist happens to be the resident Sexologist for Just Sex, Dr Elna Rudolph.
The event Freshers were enlightened about the concept and the different levels the conversation can be and should be had, highlighting the importance of involving well spoken professionals on the panel each year. “The goal is to create a holistic conversation which can encourage personal development in the space of Sexual Health. Other speakers for the upcoming event will include Dr Lucky Odirile, speaking on Navigating Relationships and Laone Dudu Monkge will give a testimonial on her Story with Endometriosis.
Phetlhe explains that they believe that media is a powerful and wonderfully diverse stakeholder needed to ensure that the Sexual Conversation started at Just Sex is an ongoing continuous one.
“We look forward to growth this coming year, more partners, sponsors and activity in the form of articles, podcasts, features etc. We appreciate all sponsors who are involved this year, and they are Durex, La Audio Visuals, Team Live, VRL and Gulp while we also encouraging more to step in.” In conclusion, she encouraged Corporates to encourage awareness and personal growth in the workplace and individuals/ couples to purchase tickets for the informative life changing evening.
