The question will then be comparing with the new business concept with the existing successful business which may be pricey due to its historically positive trading and a highly placed market share due to suitable locality.

All these may attract additional amounts for goodwill and future business income projections. Nevertheless, the trade off made by the assessment may show that improvement could be made to escalate the existing turnover of the business.

Following are the opportunities of finding areas of existing businesses: Companies and Intellectual Property Authority ( CIPA) may be good places for exploring intellectual property services; there are people who go to Local Entrepreneurial Authority ( LEA) for businesses incubation for the purposes of reselling them and ordinarily, there are some entrepreneurs who incorporate businesses, run them for a while and sell them at reasonable prices; trade expositions can also create access to buying successful businesses; they can also be found through business trade magazines and they could also be bought from outside the country.

commodities would go a long way in helping protect the life and health of medical workers as well as the adolescent girls and young women.

Xuefeng said the reproductive health products would benefit an estimated 87 000 adolescent girls and young women of reproductive age who continue to face negative sexual and reproductive health issues. “By helping adolescent girls and young women to prevent unintended pregnancies, HIV and sexually transmitted infections, we could empower women, ensure that girls remain in school and increase women’s participation in economic activities and ultimately reduce poverty among these vulnerable groups,” he said.

He further said following the devastating effects of Covid- 19, there is urgent need to tackle problems after Covid- 19 in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal 3, to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages, and Goal 5, to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. When receiving the donations, Minister of Health, Dr. Edwin Dikoloti expressed his gratitude to UNFPA and the Chinese Government for their fruitful collaborations in addressing Botswana’s gaps and unmet needs in the area of family planning.

“This donation will no doubt ensure access to modern contraceptives for many of our people. It is a positive development towards the creation of an empowered people in charge of their family planning needs,” the Minister said, further adding that it also helps create a supportive and responsive environment within the health system.

Dr Dikoloti further said the Family Planning programme in Botswana has performed relatively well over the years, from policy, to programming, and to ensuring accessibility of contraceptives by all. Contraceptive prevalence rate increased substantially from 30 percent among women of reproductive age in 1984 to over 67 percent in 2017.

He added that in order to advance expansion of contraceptives, Botswana has prioritised family planning in the 2019 International Conference on Population and Development commitments presented globally.

Dikoloti further said while the government of Botswana is committed to ensuring healthy lives and promoting wellbeing for all ages as per the SDG 3, to achieve this, there is need for collaboration similar to the one between UNFPA and the Chinese Government.
