Lukas co- headlines fight night

Anight of adrenaline- pumping action awaits fans as Bond Boxing Promotion takes center stage this weekend ( April 28th) at the iconic Fairground­s in Gaborone. With the newly introduced national championsh­ip belt under the Profession­al Boxing Associatio­n of Botswana ( PBAB) up for grabs, this event is set to be one for the books, drawing fight fans from across the country.

But the real highlight of the night will be the internatio­nally acclaimed Namibian lightweigh­t, Sakaria Lukas, who has taken the boxing world by storm with his impressive performanc­es in his last three fights across the world, including the USA, Mongolia, and Mexico.

Lukas will face off against Issa Phiri of Zimbabwe in an internatio­nal six round contest, adding even more excitement to an already electrifyi­ng night.

Meanwhile former World Boxing Federation Internatio­nal champion, Onkarabile Scara Mothibedi, will also be taking the ring in an eightround bout for the vacant Super Bantamweig­ht national championsh­ip title belt against Tefo Letshikgwa­ne, who boasts an extensive and successful amateur background. Fans can expect an intense and thrilling match- up between these two skilled fighters.

But that’s not all. The undercard features some of the country’s finest boxing talents, including Thabiso Mpolokang, Brian Galelemogw­e, Lentswe Zwinila, and Tshepiso Mokgadi, all facing off against tough opponents from South Africa and Zimbabwe. With so much talent on display, this historic night of local boxing is an absolute must- see for fans.

According to local promoter and trainer, Bond Ngubula, this event marks an exciting new chapter in the developmen­t of profession­al boxing in Botswana.
