When probed further, Kobe shared that the two parties are however set to meet before the beginning of next season to evaluate their relationship over the last four months, as they had included a six ( 6) months’ probation period on the deal.

“Everything has been going well, we had included a six ( 6) months’ probation on the deal as we were aware that the league was almost at a half- way stage. The agreement is that we will evaluate the first six months of relationship to see where we fell short, what we did right and which areas need improvements. A meeting has already been set for evaluation, but what I know is that, since February we haven’t really experienced any difficulties more especially on the issues of finances,” he said. Mochudi Centre Chiefs have previously been reported to be keen on acquiring a premier league status by purchasing, Kobe told

that such a deal will not happen this season, thus confirming the club’s participation in the Debswana First Division next season.

“Financially, we were stable this past season, but for now we are not interested [ in buying a status], we are looking forward to next season, to get promoted to the premier league, we want to arrive there [ Premier League] ready to compete and challenge for honors,” Kobe stated.

After parting ways with former Morupule Wanderers head coach, Daniel Chico Nare, Disono Molefhe held the fort for at least seven matches in the second round of the campaign and has since learnt that the club has cast its net wide to find the next coach, with a foreigner most likely to arrive before the start of next season.

Kobe shared that they are already planning for next season to avoid assembling a team on a rush which is something that happened last year after the new committee came on board. The DC TOURS and Travel Chief Executive Officer, Lapologang ‘ Lepsy’ Molemele, told this publication that reports suggesting that there is a rift between them and some club executives is “news” to him, he further reiterated their commitment to stay with the team, dismissing any rumours of a possible exit or termination of the deal.

“We have been enjoying ourselves, people appreciate what we do, we are not going anywhere. We are already planning a pre- season tour, possibly outside the country; we wanted to get promoted, we wanted to reach the finals of the Orange FA Cup; we made three managerial coaches within a short period of time and it shows that we also could have done certain things better but we are already looking forward to next season because we also finished the season on a strong note,” Molemele shared.

During the announcement of the agreement with the club, Molemele outlined a detailed plan on how they intended to transform the club, including getting promotion this year, a top three ( 3) finish in the coming Botswana Football league season and to win all available silverware in 2026 in local football.
