After all the hype and the wait, Kabza De Small’s One Man Show will finally take place tomorrow (Saturday) at Ba Isago University Marquee.

Event organisers revealed Wednesday during a press conference that all is finally set for the main event after a month’s preparations with the main act set to be held in Botswana two days before the event.

The event is hosted courtesy of local events company, Dark Knights Events and Sterling Creations in Partnership with PianoHub, which is Kabza De Small’s record label.

Apart from Kabza De Small, the show will feature other artists signed under PianoHub record label such as Young Stunna, Daliwonga, Professor P.H, Spumante, Deeperphil, Mr Ndade. From the local scene, Benny T, Maths, Teaz, Chrispin, Quest, Casper the DJ, Bunny and Romeo will also get a chance to mesmerise the revellers. MC Theo, BJB, Hey Nyeenaah and T.H.A.B.O will be MCs for the event.

Thapelo Kooitsilwe, who is the director of Dark Nights Events, said the show will offer a lasting memory for the patrons who will be treated to a four-hour set by the main act, Kabza De Small.

Kooitsilwe also said preparations have gone smoothly with tickets sales also satisfactory.

“We wanted this to be a lifestyle event, offering intimacy hence we brought it here. It is going to be very manageable. It isn’t about a large crowd but creating a lasting memory. We will have three different VIP sections and not counting the artists section,” said Kooitsilwe. Kooitsilwe promised that all artists booked to perform will honor the invitation.

“PianoHub is responsible for transporting the artists to the show from South Africa while we do the ground work. We have ensured that artists conform to the border entry requirements.

They have sent us COVID-19 vaccination cards and those who are due for boosters have already taken their shots. Kabza De Small is set to arrive here on Thursday while the team takes care of other artists behind,” he added.

Moreover, he revealed that they managed to get sponsors to make it an unforgettable experience. On the security details, Kagiso Gaodumelwe of All Night Security said they have roped in 80 personnel for the show.

“For the patrons’ safety, we will have our guards around the premises. We will have three search points to ensure that we detect weapons. We anticipate traffic from the Btv intersection, so there will be security right from that point to the entrance,” said Gaodumelwe.

Collen Mokgosi from Tanqueray distributors as one of the sponsors, said they aim to empower the youth in every way they could. He explained that as part of their support for this event, they are currently running a promotion at Liquorama stores whereby one buys two bottles of Tanqueray, which gives them a VIP pass as well as a bottle of Tanqueray 10 at the show.

Brand ambassador of Jaggermeister Chana Seadimo said they are excited to be part of this big event, and like her counterpart, they intend to offer the best VIP experience ever. She said patrons could buy a P1,000 ticket, which comes with a litre of Jaggermeister.

The show has been one of the most anticipated event in the local music events calendar since it was first announced. Kabza De Small needs no introduction in the Amapiano music genre, as he is also one of the pioneers of the type of music. The artist, who made his breakthrough in 2018, played an instrumental role in popularising the Amapiano genre and is now considered as one of the best Amapiano artistes.
