The role holder will drive an integrated operational strategy that is premised on a culture of excellence, leveraging technology, timely and adequate feedback, and the promotion of exceptional service. They will be required to ensure the

maintenance of an operations target operating model, framework and strategy within the context of overall group strategy and in alignment to Absa Bank Botswana.

Main accountabilities

• Develop and implement holistic operations target operating model (covering Retail and Corporate Operations).

• Delivering world class operations service to internal/ external customers.

• Elevate, adapt and deploy transformation ‘Practice Leads’ model in accordance with the business strategy.

• Provide re-engineering, process improvement and project management capability / specialist resource to ensure delivery against agreed scorecard.

• Drive revenue improvement/ cost saves through direct intervention, staff training and launch of performance improvement initiatives.

• Assess business performance issues, identifying opportunities and facilitating the process change and improvement within a business unit.

• Oversee the implementation of a benchmarking mechanism and peer review for process methodology and process design outputs.

Ensure reporting methodology, and standards reports are implemented, and that appropriate reporting cycle is in place covering cost, service delivery and quality.

Education and experience required

• Honors /Master’s Degree

• Essential – 10 Years management experience in running large teams

• Essential – Understanding & Experience of

(Intermediary)

• Understanding of Squad/ Tribe ways of working

• Understanding & Experience of Process Automation - Essential
