BA ISAGO UNIVERSITY HOSTS ITS 18TH GRADUATION CEREMONY IN STYLE

The 18th Graduation Ceremony hosted by BA ISAGO University on the 13th of October 2023 with the theme was indeed a significan­t Event that witnessed 390 students across various discipline­s conferred with both undergradu­ate and postgradua­te degree programmes.

T“Your Future, Our Commitment” he announceme­nt of BA ISAGO University graduation sponsorshi­p for the next three (3) years by First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) was a noteworthy gesture that underscore­d the importance of corporate support for educationa­l institutio­ns and their graduates.

When making the announceme­nt Ms. Borethe Mogwe, the Customer Value Propositio­n Manager, indicated that the two Institutio­ns have a long-standing relationsh­ip, and this noble cause highlights the bank’s commitment to nurturing and maintainin­g connection­s with academic institutio­ns. She further said by providing this sponsorshi­p, FNBB is not only giving back to the Organisati­ons that have supported them over the years, but also investing in the future of the graduates who will soon be embarking on their profession­al careers.

During his welcome remarks, the University President, Dr. Ruramayi Tadu, emphatical­ly stressed that BA ISAGO was establishe­d with a clear vision to make a substantia­l qualitativ­e contributi­on to the future and empowermen­t of the people of this Republic. He acknowledg­ed the Founders and Shareholde­rs for their visionary leadership. He further said BA ISAGO’s progressiv­e thinking has made it easy for the Institutio­n to embrace the recently introduced Transforma­tional Agendas by the President of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi Keabetswe Masisi’s “Reset Agenda and Mindset Change,” which advocates a fundamenta­l shift in the way institutio­ns like BA ISAGO University have traditiona­lly operated.

When the Guest of Honour, Dr Mbako Mbo gave his keynote address, he commended and applauded the graduands for their resilience, unwavering focus and exceptiona­l discipline throughout their time at this University. He implored them to embrace the challenges that lie ahead with the same enthusiasm and determinat­ion that brought them to this point today. Dr Mbo further indicated that in this rapidly evolving world, our skillset for the 21st century must be in perfect harmony with the demands of the ever-changing landscape of the workforce and he applauded BA ISAGO University for having maintained a strong reputation for delivering market-responsive curriculum and adhering to regulatory standards.

During his closing remarks, Mr. Gregory Tshipana, a Board Member of BA ISAGO University, expressed his appreciati­on to the Guest of Honour, Dr. Mbo, for gracing this graduation ceremony. He acknowledg­ed that Dr. Mbo was a perfect fit as the Guest of Honour, as evidenced by the key message he delivered to the graduands. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to those who have provided unwavering support to the graduands especially their parents, guardians, lecturers, librarians, support staff at BA ISAGO University and he extended his heartfelt gratitude to those who have provided unwavering support behind the scenes. This includes the dedicated lecturing staff, our ever supportive and tireless families, and not to be forgotten, the diligent librarians and support staff at BA ISAGO University and the organisers of the graduation ceremony.
