BA ISAGO UNIVERSITY HOSTS ITS 18TH GRADUATION CEREMONY IN STYLE
The 18th Graduation Ceremony hosted by BA ISAGO University on the 13th of October 2023 with the theme was indeed a significant Event that witnessed 390 students across various disciplines conferred with both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
T“Your Future, Our Commitment” he announcement of BA ISAGO University graduation sponsorship for the next three (3) years by First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) was a noteworthy gesture that underscored the importance of corporate support for educational institutions and their graduates.
When making the announcement Ms. Borethe Mogwe, the Customer Value Proposition Manager, indicated that the two Institutions have a long-standing relationship, and this noble cause highlights the bank’s commitment to nurturing and maintaining connections with academic institutions. She further said by providing this sponsorship, FNBB is not only giving back to the Organisations that have supported them over the years, but also investing in the future of the graduates who will soon be embarking on their professional careers.
During his welcome remarks, the University President, Dr. Ruramayi Tadu, emphatically stressed that BA ISAGO was established with a clear vision to make a substantial qualitative contribution to the future and empowerment of the people of this Republic. He acknowledged the Founders and Shareholders for their visionary leadership. He further said BA ISAGO’s progressive thinking has made it easy for the Institution to embrace the recently introduced Transformational Agendas by the President of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi Keabetswe Masisi’s “Reset Agenda and Mindset Change,” which advocates a fundamental shift in the way institutions like BA ISAGO University have traditionally operated.
When the Guest of Honour, Dr Mbako Mbo gave his keynote address, he commended and applauded the graduands for their resilience, unwavering focus and exceptional discipline throughout their time at this University. He implored them to embrace the challenges that lie ahead with the same enthusiasm and determination that brought them to this point today. Dr Mbo further indicated that in this rapidly evolving world, our skillset for the 21st century must be in perfect harmony with the demands of the ever-changing landscape of the workforce and he applauded BA ISAGO University for having maintained a strong reputation for delivering market-responsive curriculum and adhering to regulatory standards.
During his closing remarks, Mr. Gregory Tshipana, a Board Member of BA ISAGO University, expressed his appreciation to the Guest of Honour, Dr. Mbo, for gracing this graduation ceremony. He acknowledged that Dr. Mbo was a perfect fit as the Guest of Honour, as evidenced by the key message he delivered to the graduands. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to those who have provided unwavering support to the graduands especially their parents, guardians, lecturers, librarians, support staff at BA ISAGO University and he extended his heartfelt gratitude to those who have provided unwavering support behind the scenes. This includes the dedicated lecturing staff, our ever supportive and tireless families, and not to be forgotten, the diligent librarians and support staff at BA ISAGO University and the organisers of the graduation ceremony.
