Organisers insist Shebeshxt is coming
Despite doubt that Shebeshxt will make an appearance at the inaugural of Simply Piano event this Saturday, the organisers have assured that ‘President Yama 2k’ will make his debut performance locally.
One of the organisers of the event, DJ Modric Bw revealed that Shebeshxt will make it to their event as their booking has been dealt with meticulously since Sunday. He said they have dealt with the necessities that need to be put in place for him to be in the country.
“Our team has been diligently working on this booking with members on the ground in South Africa since Sunday overseeing all the necessary arrangements including checking all the police charges against him,” DJ Modric said. “We are pleased to officially confirm the booking of Shebeshxt after thorough discussions and mutual satisfaction from both parties,” he revealed.
Regarding the fracas that is brewing on social media platforms that this might just be a move to scam the fans, DJ Modric was quick to quash that. “Contrary to circulating social media posts suggesting potential scams, we assure you that the necessary precaution has been taken to ensure the legitimacy of this arrangement,” Modric stated.
With reports that Shebeshxt’s booking numbers have been hacked, DJ Modric highlighted that their booking was not online with any of his numbers nor through his emails. “It is imperative to clarify that this booking did not occur online as it was done by members on the ground in SA,” he
emphasised. While he is said to have a total of six gigs in SA, organisers still remain resolute that he will be in Botswana. Some of the places that Shebeshxt has gigs lined up include Tembisa, Maboneng, and Zeerust. “In the context of performances, it is well established practice that SA artists often fulfil their commitments in their country first before proceeding to their international bookings,” he said.
His booking at Zeerust is expected to make things easier for him as a drive from Zeerust to Gaborone is roughly two hours and the organisers are confident that he will make it in time before the border closes. Meanwhile DJ Modric elucidated that they will drop a video of him affirming his performance soon. “We are committed to delivering a confirmation video to dispel any uncertainties and further affirm the credibility of Shebeshxt’s appearance in Botswana,” he confidently said. He urged them to buckle up and remain calm and look forward to having an unforgettable event of their lives.
