Larona Gasennelwe, also famed as DJ Zoski in the music industry, has released a new song dubbed Asbonge, a Zulu dialect for giving thanks. Gasennelwe explained that the song, which was composed by Garozz of Dithunya tsame fame, is a three-step rhythm released in April.

He said that even though it was just a single, there is a plan to release an Extended Play (EP) in the near future. DJ Zoski further explained that Asbonge was an affirmation for giving thanks for having a productive year. Having endured the hard labour to breakthrough since 2010, DJ Zoski was also meant to celebrate his achievements thus far. He said back then he performed with a DVD player because he did not have equipment.

“This is a congratulatory song. I am aware of how people work hard from day-to-day but they never get a chance to pat themselves on the shoulder to say “thank you” to themselves and really appreciate how far they came.

The song was produced By Kingdee Musiq in Kanye. My adoration and passion for music seemingly touched and unlocked doors of opportunities. Botswana’s top deejays in the likes of DJ Chabo, FME DJs, Crispin Da Drummer, DJ Eddie, DJ KSB and DJ Anthem are a source of inspiration to me,” he explained. This DJ is not new in the music industry. He produced a single called Shoberr Touch that is available online a few years ago featuring Era Boy and Amen Brio. His second single, Calvary, is available all over music stores online and on rotation on radio stations.

Asbonge is his third single and is also available all over music stores online and on radio station. He added that on August 2, 2024 he will be dropping another song named Mama Ft Angie, Jayne and TSA MuSIq.

“I met an entertainment mogul in Kanye, The Library Bar owners Namely DJ Ribo, DJ Stu and Laone Morebodi, affectionately known as Dilaoza of Dilaoza Entertainment, who recruited and groomed me to become a songbird of world-class. As artists, we face several challenges including delayed payments and being underpaid is the biggest challenge we face.

In this day in age, people still do not recognize DJ’ing as a career especially in our country,” he said. As part of his mentorship programme, he said he managed to produce an astounding female DJ, Mis J- Plays Afro Tech and she was doing exceptionally well.

He said he will be dropping a 13-track album on October 4, 2024. He said in 2015, he was granted two slots on Rb2; the Flight 326 Show hosted by Captain Sean and also Club 180 Experience Hosted By Teto Tsile (Tido), which airs on Tuesdays and Saturdays respectively. He also played on radio stations such as and
