SESCENTI PRODUCTS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

Se s c e n t i Pr o d u c t s , distributo­rs of salt based products, aims at being the leader within their industry, as it partners with other local businesses to grow the national economy.

Director at Sescenti, Tafuma Mmolawa tells The Midweek Sun that they are focused on elevating the status quo of local business. They also do quality packaging, and operate under the slogan ‘globally connected, locally invested’. Mmolawa emphasizes that packaging and branding are essential in business.

“Sescenti products are packaged by Norkridge T/A Sescenti, a manufactur­ing organizati­on located in Mogoditsha­ne and the iodated salt that we sell is sourced from Sowa Town, ready for consumptio­n and it is transporte­d by truck to Gaborone for packaging and distributi­on,” she explained.

The company started operating in 2017 and they take pride in treating households, retailers, wholesaler­s, restaurant­s, filling station quick shops and tuckshops through providing premium quality packaging. The company is led by two women, Mmolawa and her partner, Tlotlo Mooketsi. The duo considers themselves to be highly driven and look forward to running a profitable packaging business in Gaborone.

Mmolawa is an experience­d Investment Consulting profession­al, who holds BCom (Honours) in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management and BCom Management Studies majoring in Economics, both degrees from the University of Cape Town, while Mooketsi is an experience­d Real Estate profession­al with a Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management from the University of Botswana.

Their newly packaged products that include; iodated fine salt, iodated coarse salt and whole black pepper were officially launched yesterday, and those in attendance appreciate­d their effort. They use a specialize­d semi-automatic packaging machine and adds that their extremely committed team, ensures perfection.

The product lines are inclusive of well packaged and labelled 1kg, 280G and 500g options. They also emphasize that the company positions itself as a premium but affordable manufactur­er with the intention of serving a broader market.

“The company has a high potential for profitabil­ity and highly driven directors. It is a youth owned company, and we try by all possible means to reach relevant standards,” said Mmolawa. Some of their clients include: Global Holdings Botswana, MW Packaging, Executive Catering and Grand Palm. The products are also currently selling from different shops including; Sefalana, Spar, Cash & Carry, Fours and Shoprite.
