Bra KK makes a come back

-

Perhaps the comeback of the year in local sports is not even in the field of play but the boardroom. This is the best way to explain the story of one Kitso Kemoeng affectionately known as Bra KK. Many simply call him KK in sports circles. As a former longtime BNSC CEO, KK needs no introductions in local sports circles. Bra KK has recently made a triumphant return to sports administration as the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Culture Development.

A staunch and visionary sports administrator it was not clear why or how he previously left the BNSC and this remains the subject of speculation. At the time many sports administrators argued that the CEO and the BNSC board were not pulling in the same direction hence his resignation.

Bra KK later joined the BFA as CEO and was later suspended from the association. The curse of office politics seemed to have followed KK to the BFA and he had to face a litany of allegations including embezzlement.

After the BFA saga Bra KK had to start from scratch, gotwe system e mo

kgwile and his detractors concluded his sports administration days were behind him.

Bra KK would later re-emerge as part of the Gaborone International Meet Local Organising Committee after former 800m runner and GIM organiser Glody Dube sought Bra KK’s services as

GIM General Manager.

To be honest, it was during this period that

Sports Buzz worked closely with the man and it became evident that he paid attention to details. He loved reading and never hesitated to appreciate a good piece if and when he comes across it.

We took notice and learnt just how hard working the man is, judge him all you like but he is blessing in his own image. True to what he believes in and gives it his all. Bra

KK’s experience and business acumen man always came through during our brief interviews and it does not come as shock that he has landed a top post at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development as Deputy Permanent Secretary.

While the GIM has lost a great leader MYSC has surely gained an asset and we hope Bra KK’s would only soar in this crucial position. Congratulations on your new job sir, we hope sports Buzz will be invited to your office for an interview in the state of local sports soon.

Mme kana re ipotsa gore where are your detractors now? It is indeed true that he who laughs last laughs the loudest? Leotwana le dikologile .

To think that Bra KK has gone full circle and now overseeing both the BNSC and BFA is probably a good thing.

But being the good man that you are Bra

KK, we know you not a vengeful person with both a good conscience and rationale. You will serve without fear nor favour after all you are occupying a public office and you have never let us down before. Congrats on your appointment once more Bra KK.
