What are the benefits of reflexology and how does it work?

gives an overall improvement of general wellbeing.

How reflexology works is like pressing a switch and the lights goes on, you may not see the wiring that causes the bulb to light, but we know the electrical wiring carries the current. When applying the meridian/ zone therapy during reflexology the same concept as the lights is used. The wiring in this case is the meridian lines, which are the channels that send the signal to the relating organ from your feet. The reflexologist is “pressure pointing” on your organ to improve overall functioning. Reflexology is not a diagnostic treatment, but it does well as a complimentary therapy to reduce symptoms of some medical conditions.

How is reflexology different from other healing arts such as acupuncture and acupressure?

What prompted you to become a reflexologist? What training did WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN OPTOMETRIST, OPTICIAN AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST?

but other therapists don’t go beyond the body surface. Reflexology focuses on the reflex points on the feet, hands, and outer ears, while acupressure concentrates the pressure on the reflex points of the entire body.

A lot of alternative therapies become popular then fade away, what makes reflexology different and popular?

Are there alternative therapies that fade? Personally, I do not know of any that really fade, many alternative therapies have origins dating back to ancient times and are still practiced today, the theories may change as research is improved. But fade no. Yes as times have changed and we live in a more advanced and progressive period in time, most tend to want instant solutions to keep the body “health”. It is easier to take a pain killer for a headache than to take time and find out what the root course of the headache is and what your body is trying to communicate.
