Ntlafatso Keitirile will l aunch her new book titled ‘ The guide for teenage world’ on Saturday in Gaborone. The 25-yearold told Vibe recently that the i nsp i rat i on to pen the book came from studying teenagers of the current generation. “I realised that majority of them do not understand how much impact the changes in the world carry in their personal lives and their future,” she said. She noted that the teenage years are important because it is when one lays the foundation for their future, and it is therefore important to make good decisions during that period.

Keitirile shared that she wrote the book will act as guide and light to the teenagers and give them the right direction despite the overwhelming changes taking place around us. “The book carries the teenager from the onset of teenage stage, and takes them through challenges they may face in this stage and their possible solutions. It also teaches them about temptations they may face in this stage, the i mportance of being a teenager, the relationship between teenage phase and the future,” she said. The young writer also explained that in the book she shares about the importance of teenagers adhering to their parents’ guidance, and teaches them to cooperate well with their parents throughout this phase, and also choose good friends who will add value to their lives.

Keitirile noted the message conveyed to teenagers through this book is that the teenage phase is the most critical in one’s life, as this is when everyone gets opportunities to learn, fail and correct their mistakes. “Building the foundation during the teenage years comes with requirements, which must be followed clearly in order to have a successful completion of your teenage stage.
