PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS WELCOME NEW SIGNING
There has been plenty of noteworthy signings for new comers in the premier league including Masitaoka and Mogoditshane Fighters as they ready themselves for the challenge of top-flight with their enhanced squads of young talent and experienced players.
The high-profile arrivals at their respective teams are expected to make a serious impact when football resumes in the country
Most of the new acquisitions have caught the eye of supporters and the technical teams already and there has also been some huge expectations placed on their shoulders.
Speaking in an interview this week, Mogoditshane Fighters acting Chairman Reginald Mautlanye said they intend to stay in the league and their targets for the upcoming season is to finish in the top 8.
“We have signed a lot of youngsters in the team and we have retained our experienced players to have a balance in the team. We are very ambitious and we don’t intend to return to the lower division, our aim is not relegating but we would be happy to finish in the top 8 bracket.” Nonetheless, he said the season will prove rather difficult for the team without spectators.
“We are building this brand and we want to attract supporters and sponsors especially in the area of Mogoditshane.” The Samba Boys have added to their squad the likes of Tiroyaone Maome, Edwin Mokibe, Tlamelo Abueng, Mooketsi Gareonne, Thabiso Masa, Thamiso Gaogangwe, Tshepo Keselebale and Thabang Sendu among many other players.
Masitaoka has more astute arrivals including the likes of Kobamelo Kebaikanye and Patrick Kaunda looking to add to the attacking options as they also intend to perform brilliantly in the upcoming football season.
In an interview this week, club mouthpiece Godfrey Rathaga said they have added about 12 players to the team to address the requirements of the Premier League. “Like any side, we are addressing the requirements of the next games, it’s part of football to beef up the squad.”
Rathaga said they have acquired several players with premier league experience to help their group of youngsters to settle into top flight football. “I think it’s normal in football, you want current experience to settle in, and hopefully quickly,” he said.
Furthermore, he said their good administration provides an enabling environment for technical wing to express its talent freely and fully and results are usually positive when all this comes into play.
