DJ KSB HIT SONG PHENDULA TRENDS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Kealeboga Sedumedi of Tlokweng, artistically known as DJ KSB, has dropped a hit song titled Phendula, which is currently trending in South Africa.

DJ KSB told Vibe that the single, which features Juizee from Limpopo, South Africa, was released end of November 2020. He produced the single, which was released under a South African label, Jozi Entertainment, while Juizee did the vocals.

DJ KSB explained that Phendula is a Zulu language word which means answer or reply in English. He said the concept of the single came after realising that he has been praying and hoping that God would hear his prayers and answer them, but he felt like something is lacking and decided to ask God to respond to his prayers through song.

DJ KSB expressed joy that that the song is currently doing quite well in all platforms from topping the iTunes dance charts, the love from streets, topping local radio charts.He added that the song is now growing more in South Africa especially Motsweding FM and Metro FM but hastened to add that he is also getting support here at home. “Batswana really appreciate the song and they still show some love for it, which is amazing,” he said.

He shared that he would soon start a radio tour for the song and his journey in the music industry, adding that he is also wrapping up his EP which is scheduled to drop later this year. “This will be a major project since I will be working with SA’s heavyweights on some collaborations,” he said.

DJ KSB said it is very rare to find a Motswana song on South Africa ‘s Top 100 radio monitor and Metro FM high rotation because SA is the power house in this industry since they have a lot of resources and a bigger market so for him to be at that level across the border means a lot to him and he promised to keep churning hits.
