‘Ko Patlelong’, a song by Flexybouy Hardgee, featuring SABADE is a reminisce of good olden traditional games, and aimed at embracing Botswana culture.

“Times have changed and today’s generation is not aware of the cultural lifestyle and games that were used to be very interesting back then, so ‘Ko Patlelong ’ hit tries to bring back those good memories,” Flexybouy told Vibe. The song was released early this month, and he says that he is excited about this collaboration with SABADE, a member of The Real Magosi crew. For him, collaborations are special because they take out talent from different musicians in the industry, and help them not to limit themselves. This song is in Sghubu genre, “I call the genre Sghubu, because it is a combination of Motswako sounds and Jazz type,” he said. He believes the song is already serving its purpose as people love it. “The feedback is awesome, honestly people love the song and they are even buying hard copies to support me,” he shares.

He tells Vibe that the song is also shared on online platforms and currently playing on RB1, while he awaits to hear it on other radio stations too.

The official video to this song will drop in November, he says and promise that it is fully packed with the vibe that demonstrates ‘Ko patlelong’ game to teach the now generation about old games, through this particular one.

“We have recently started shooting some clips, and anticipate to release it in November,” he said. The song was recorded at Tru-African Studios.
