- BY IRENE SHONE

Afro dance artiste, Mokwadi Amos, who goes by the stage name Slow Wizzy, has been selected to battle it out in the #mysimmerlive competition. His latest song, ‘Chakachaka’ which was released two months back, is the song that has earned him this acclaimed. Slow Wizzy recently told Vibe that the single received positive response from the first day it was released. “Chakachaka has been receiving much airplay, on radios as well as on online platforms, and just recently it was nominated on #mysimmerlive,” he says. He believes this is a breakthrough opportunity for him, especially that he has been nominated among some Zimbabwen big artistes, something he least expected. This is a very big achievement in my journey of music. I take it as a lifetime opportunity because winning the competition could open doors of international platform for me in the industry. This competition is wonderful because it brings African artistes together,” he said. He explained that winning this competition guarantees the winner to share stages with other my simmer artists across Africa, which is something he dreams of. He pleaded for support from his fans. “I plead with all my fans to keep on voting for the Chakachaka track,” he said.

He also noted that being part of the competition has motivated him to continue bringing good music to keep his fans entertained. H added that he is currently in the studio, working on another single track, in which he features Captain Dira.
