PATIENCE IS VIRTUE FOR CHRISTIANS

Pastor Phildah Kereng reveals her spiritual side

- BY LAME CHABA

Christians have been encouraged to remember that the spirit of God always locates people for a better life. This was said by the Minister of Environment, Natural Resources, Conservation and Tourism, Pastor Phildah Kereng when speaking at Jehovah’s Potters House Assembly Church tenth anniversary in Francistown this past Sunday. Addressing the congregation Kereng said Jehovah’s Potters House Assembly church should celebrate their anniversary as a successful and beautiful journey they travelled in the hands of the lord.

Kereng, a pastor and staunch Woman of God at Integrity Bible church in Ramotswa, was a guest speaker during the occasion. She urged Christians to learn to listen to the voice of the Lord and work hard towards their lives for them to be successful and learn to appreciate little things in their lives.

Pastor Kereng spent most of her sermon sharing about the trials and tribulations she encountered in her life until she found the breakthrough which did not come easy as she had to fast, wait and work in prayer even in very painful and difficult times.

“It was not easy as I even had to sell a lot of my properties and returned home to my mother’s house despite the degree I have but I never gave up hence my position today”, Kereng said, urging the church to remain focused. When giving a word of encouragement, founder of the church, Prophetess Keorapetse Muzila said the church was formed on the 7th July 2011 in a sitting room and started having an overflow which led them to look for more spacious places of worship until they settled in Block 5, Francistown. Prophetess Muzila said that currently the church prides itself with 5200 registered members from a mere ten (10) noting that the church has helped many people through healing and life renewals that gained them more blessings for a better future.

Muzila shared that they now have three (3) branches in Tutume, Shashemooke and Selibe Phikwe villages whose membership has also tremendously grown due to the good story they share about the Lord Jesus.

The church managed to buy land in Block 5, Francistown worth half a million Pula and this was made possible by commitment from all members of the church and all contributions were accounted for. Prophetess Muzila called on Christians to unite and pray for Covid 19 pandemic to end. “When we pray together as Christians, we become a force that will push away evil spirits in this land”, Muzila said. Church member Neo Maruapula said she started visiting the church in 2017. “The church as the house of the Lord has developed me spiritually. However the 10th Anniversary is not about me as such. It is about the commitment that Prophetess has made to looking after the flock of God that she is entrusted with and serving the Kingdom”, Maruapula said.
